Engagement :: Janna & Branden

This past Sunday, 8/23, we took a couple down to Point Fermin in the city of San Pedro, California for an engagement session. Janna and Branden, aka "Jannden", were up for just about anything! We had a great time working with them. It's fun couples like this that remind us of why we like what we do.

Oh la la!

Can you say... "YUMMY"! I feel like I need to go get a bowl of sherbet. It was fun working with these bright colors, and doing something a little untraditional. The best part is when you hand over the finished product, and it was more then they could have imagined. It shined with the couples personality, and definitely started there wedding off right.

Wedding :: Winnie and Brian

Dusting off the shelf...
I was doing some spring cleaning, and came across a wedding we did awhile back. I love when that happens, and you have forgotten what you did. Then you find yourself talking to yourself saying, "Oh that's good, I need to display that!" It brings back so many memories. Yep, Not just for the bride, but for the photographer. It is so exciting to look back...

Who Says...

You can't make your bridal shower invites something to talk about. As I sit here late at night with several things running through my head. I decided I would post the recent bridal shower invites I designed. It is a custom design that was all done in house. From the design, to the printing and even the cutting. Thankfully, I only had to make 20. It was a very fun project to do, and rewarding when it was all finished. The theme of the bridal shower was cupcakes. So, hence the cupcake picture. I love coming up with new ideas, and then making them come to life. I even added a label to match the invites for the envelopes. Good thing, there was a deadline, or I would have kept going on ideas. I was having way too much fun!

Wedding :: Johnetta and Pierre

The windy city. Yes, Mariann had the chance to travel to Chicago and shoot a wedding! it was our first time traveling there so, it was an adventure. She was lucky enough to know some of the people so, she was able to also take in all what the city had to offer. I guess, That is what you call work hard, play hard. I wish I was there enjoying it too! The bride and groom shined on there day, as I am sure you can see through the photos. They turned out gorgeous.

Finally Finished!

When we do an album we put so much love into it, as if, it was our own. We work from every angle, but most of all we love to tell a story. I had already designed the brides album, and I now needed to do her parent albums. They are always fun to do. It is usually a mini version of the brides album. We design our parent albums using a coffee table book that is very modern, and in the lines of a magazine with a hard cover. They're very trendy, and most of all easy for the parent to carry and show off to all their friends. After I was done we sent it to press, and when it came back it was adorable. I wanted to keep it for myself. But I had to package it up and send it away. It is definitely something I would not pass up! :O)

Wedding :: Cortney and Dusty Allison

This wedding was particulary fun. Maybe because I am a little biased as it was my cousins wedding and I happened to be in it, or maybe because we got to travel to a new place. We flew to Boise, ID to capture there wedding. It was beautiful. Everything a girl could ask for. They were very open to doing many pictures, that one could say, would be perfect for a wedding magazine. We really enjoyed our time and they had a blast!

It has begun...

As I found myself reading and traveling through many peoples blogs, it dawned on me, "why do we not have one." So, as time passed by I realized I wanted to be a part of the excitement. I want to share our passion to the world. Today, I have tons of stuff I could talk about, but for now I am going to post some of our projects, so you can see what we are all about.

We are now one of the many using a blog to keep in touch, and I hope you find as much joy in it as we do creating it.

Enjoy!

A letterpress inviation that was designed to bring together all the pieces in her wedding, from the dress color of her bridal party to the flowers in her bouquet.

It's a bar mitzvah party! The young girl wanted to show her personality by making it whimsical, hip and formal. We came up with a fun spiral, abstract piece and she loved it! We also added a little touch by adding a back layer in a matallic paper.

My cousin was going for the romantic wedding feel so, we went with letterpress printing. Using a bordeaux design, we also added a touch of sparkle, by adding a swarovski crystal to each invite. It turned out beautiful, and it definitely set the tone for her wedding guests.
